ATTENTION all Lake Chicot Anglers (PLEASE READ)!!!!!!!

Attention all anglers that are planning on putting in at Connerly bayou on Lake Chicot. The ramp will be closed starting on Monday April 27 and will be closed for approximately 1 ½ weeks. The parking lot is going to be restored (all the potholes repaired) and then repaved. We realize this is going to be an inconvenience for anglers during this time. We tried to get this done last fall but the bids were way over what the Regional Maintenance Coordinator (RMC) had budgeted for. So we had to wait till this spring to bid again. We finally got the approval and we must complete this project by July 1st. This is why it is being completed now. Please realize that you will not be able to put in at this ramp during this period of time but once completed you will have a great parking area for 20 or more years. Also, we are planning to do the same for Ditch Bayou during the next fiscal year. If you have any questions feel free to contact me (Jeremy) or Diana at 1-877-367-3559.

Thanks for letting us know, Mojo. I can certainly remember the "weaving" through the parking lot to avoid the 1' deep potholes.

On a side note, have you heard anything about Willow Beach in Central AR?

Thanks for this notice. Question: When you repave, are you going to paint stripes to guide parking? The 3rd line of parking spaces is screwed up when the lot is full due to the 2nd line drifting over into the 3rd line. But any help is great! Also, will you do any repair to the pothole at Grand lake ramp where the concrete meets the gravel? It needs it!

Yes they plan on striping the whole parking lot with lines. Also we are looking at repaving the grand lake parking lot because the last time it was paved it was done badly.
