I fish the west end all the time. The lake is 3.5 feet high right now but should be warming back up with the last few days of good sunshine.

I have had steady luck by jigging over brush with a red/white umbrella jig injected with nibbles. Also, in about 4-5 fow, I have been able to land some good slabs with No. 5 minnows, fished about 18" deep, being let down in the middle of buck brush.

I have not been in two days because I'm having some warranty work done on my boat trailer. Looks like I won't be able to hit the water until Thursday.

Have fun and let us know how you do.

had a friend that went down there last weekend and fished around the dock using a yellow colored jig and let it go to the bottom and pulled it up slow and they was soft bites but him and his kids just killed them

I DID get to go today for a few hours in the afternoon. The water temp ranges from 58.5 - 63 degrees. Caught 11, biggest 15.5" fishing in the buck brush at 18" with red/white jig tipped with a rosey red.

Water up South Fork is a little dirty for me, but still managed four up the river. Returned to Denby and fished the exposed brush and did okay. Once past Twin Creeks ramp the water is a beautiful color, calm as an Egyptian tomb...just the way I like it.

using your technique. Maybe that's what I need to do to really slaughter them. Who woulda thunk of fishin the docks during the Spring?

    Thanks for the tip.

Sounds like you salvaged the day on hamilton. I have caught some good crappie on hamilton in the past but have not been able to locate them lately. mind asking how deep you fished, structure, and bait. any info would be aprecciated. Thanks alot for the report and keep after em.
