    Talking Cane Creek AGAIN!

Jim and I went to Cain Creek again Saturday (3/21) and this time we took his son (Winston), nephew (Koby) and one of Jim's co-workers (Kevin)! It was an awesome day!

Winston, Jim's 14 year old son caught his FIRST crappie! It was a 3 pound 1 ounce crappie!!! Not a bad one to start out on!!! We may never be able to top that one!!!

Just curious, was that the only fish caught? (Mind you that one fish has more weight than all the fish combined on my last TWO trips)

No we actually brought home another crappie about 1 1/2 pounds and a small bass. I let 2 pretty good crappie get off my pole and Jim and Winston each let a bass get off theirs. Jim's bass was pretty big - maybe around 4 lbs.

That sure is a fun one to start out on...that's the catch of a lifetime. It sure will be hard for him to top that one! But hopefully he spends the rest of his life trying...:D Those big black CC crappie sure do put up a good fight. I've never caught another crappie like 'em...

Thanks for the pics and report. I'm kickin' myself for not going over there to fish when I was right there in Twinkle Town last weekend...

That is an awesome fish and for the first catch ever makes it a minor miracle!! Hope you put it on the wall for him to remember.
