Default Nashville FFA Fishing Tournament March 21st

Got the date today. This is two weeks before Howard County Childrens Center Bass Tournament.

Our tournament will be open to everyone. Fish included will be Crappie, Bass, Striper, and Bream. Prizes and money will be awarded for each species...big string and big fish.

Hourly big fish prizes will be given for each also.

We will be hiding Easter eggs in various places on the lake with slips of paper in them that will get you your prize. There will riddles on a form when you get there that will help you find them. These will be awarded at weigh in.

Tournament will be from 7-3 on Lake Greeson. Leaving from Self Creek boat ramp.

I will be posting a PDF file soon with the flyer.

Entry fee will be $65.00 per boat.

If anyone knows of places that would donate prizes for this pm me...I would love find as many prizes as possible to make this a good tournament. Any suggestions or help will be greatly appreciated...this being our first...it will be ineteresting!! :D

Dang, I was all pumped to help you guys out. However, March 21st is my little girls birthday party. I asked her if she would rather go work and fish a crappie tourney (I was only going to work, but I felt the need to work another angle) or have a birthday party with all her friends. Funny thing, she asked if we could go fishing after her party...LMAO

Will the pdf flyer outline the details, rules, etc.? Not really understanding how a tourney has four species - total weight all four? - four individual weights? - creel limits on each species? Then hourly big fish - times, etc. Will all this be announced on a local radio station during the tourney? Do the hourly big fish count toward the weight at the end of the day? etc.

Darryl...yes, it will outline everything. There will be individual prizes for each species of fish. Still figuring on payouts...looks like 30%....1st=15%, 2nd=10%, 3rd=5% in each division. Money and prizes. Will have prizes for the others. Just have to get all the prizes together. lol.

The flyer will have everything on it.

We will use radio, newspaper, flyers, internet etc. The FFA knows how to announce stuff VERY well....lol. :D

Had a change in plans. Had to take off the hourly weigh in. Having trouble getting enough good prizes for the hourly. Would end up being 21 prizes in all and if your going to come all the way in for it, it needs to be worth it. This way we'll have alot better prizes for the big fish...and will spread out the other prizes for other places.

enjoyed the fishing and I was impressed with the youngsters there to participate. Good Luck with the proceeds. Nothing bad can come from spending time with young people.
