Highest temps today, 63 F up the South Fork a half mile or more.

Winds were calm until 10:30. After that, it started to blow and it was tough getting away from it. We missed a bunch of fish because we couldn't detect the light strikes.

Caught seven today with the largest two at 12" and full of eggs. All caught on No. 4 minnows. Brother Tom out-fished me 4 to 3

White bass and lm are schooling early and late in the upper upper reaches of South Fork of the Ouachita River. The crappie were being found in 8' of water but it was a slow bite.

Fished with brother Tom all day. We had a blast and some good fish in the freezer to boot.
