    Default Blue Mtn. Report

Well it was a rough windy 1/2 day on the lake today. Water temp started ot at 47 then warmed to 51 at noon. Caught 2 crappie at 6 ft mid morning but wind forced me back in the bays. Caught 16 small LM bass the rest of the trip. Think it needs a few more warm days to get right. Maybe ater the rains and warm weather next week?

Ok had more fun at the local strip pit! Took my 13 yr old daughter to the strip pit I reported on last week. We only caught 1 crappie this trip but 10 LM. She had a blast and is rigging baiting her own minnows and taking her own fish off. She is way ahead off her mom :p Se is looking forward to the spawn...she likes going out in the boat and crappie fishing! I wil get some pics on are next trip! Enjoyed this much better than the windy trip to Blue Mtn. this mornin.

Sounds like you had a good fishing day, despite the windy.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

Last year, at this time, they were doing real good off of the bank at the strip pits North of the Interstate in Russellville.

At least you were out there and you DID get something to bite.

Havin' kids interested in fishing is a real blessing. I wish mine liked to fish. Maybe someday.
