I thought about going there saturday afternoon, but I figure I would have to walk from boat to boat to find a place to dip the line.

Welcome to the site Chasing slabs, good to have you. You're right about Chicot in the wind, it can really get tough. We stayed in the bayou, and tried to stay out of the worst wind when possible. Look forward to your posts and report, what part of the state are you from.

You didn't have to wait for the weekend to walk from boat to boat in Connerly. I was there Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wensday, and by far Wensday looked like a weekend for sure. There were 66 vehicles at the landing Wensday at noon. Hopefully when I go back Tuesday, the rain will keep people at home.

It was like that yesterday and today, been getting there at 6:30 and the parking lot has been pretty full. I'll probably have to park on the highway tommorow.
