    Sry crappie> I saw that forecast also I am gonna get over to Blue Mtn. and fish it hard the next 2 days. Looks like rain all next week in my area also. Just part of spring kinda like the crappie bite. Hope you find at least 1-2 dry days to fish cause I enjoy your posts.
    Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!

    Hey just 30-60 percent chance of rain, means 70-40 percent it won't rain. The crappie don't mind the rain, they're already wet, and if no lightning and a rain suit, makes for some good crappie fishing. Good luck, hope you catch a bunch.

    A bad day of fishing
    beats a good day at work.

    Crappiehog;

    A man's gotta fish when a man can go! Will Rogers said something like that. I think he said, "The best time to fish is when you get the chance."

    So if it DOES rain all week, just act like you're a guide with a full booking for the week and go get 'em anyway. The fish are already wet and it is my guess that if you go, you will run them down.

    When I'm on the lake and it begins to rain, I erect the Bihimi Top and sit at the helm, letting my two 14' rods do the fishin' during the downpours. I rarely miss a beat--except if the wind is nasty or the lightning is doin' its thang.

    Now if all that rain DOES come, I'd suggest that you go to the sheltered dock at Yarborough Landing (West of the dam a few miles). The dock isn't much but it is sheltered and has a nice metal roof to keep you dry. The locals use it all the time -- and it's free of charge. There's a store about 250 yards from the dock and they have everything there to sustain a fisherman.

    Best o' luck to you anyway. Just make the most of it.

    10-day forecast for Kirby near Greeson - 10 Day Weather Forecast for Kirby, AR (71950) - weather.com - looks good to me. Caught'em as shallow as 3-foot deep today. The water is warming fast.
