Village Creek State Park Information

Anybody know of any bait shops close to the area? Thinking of heading down that way next week and was wondering if I need to bring some from jonesboro area.

Also, Anyone know of any better spots to start off with. I know they are smaller lakes but didnt know if they had structure/hot spots that some of you guys care to give out?

There's a little country store right before you get to the state park. On the right coming from Wynne. I used to buy minnows there when I lived in Wynne on the way to fish Burnt Cane. I would probably go ahead and buy them to make sure you have them seems like sometimes they would be out or didn't carry them all year. Never did any good crappie fishing them so I'm not much help there.
