    Default Lake Conway Fish PICS

Caught a few good ones, along Gold Creek/Lake Conway this past weekend, casting a 1/32 Chart jig head black and chart skirt, white and chart skirt, under a bobber, I believe in the crappie nibbles. Caught fish in several places and now picking up a few nice white bass about every trip. Bigger Crappie found shallow for me in the smaller coves, make a long cast and just a slow slow steady retrieve.
Hope you enjoy the pics. CrappiePro

whats the water temps you've seen while fishing in the more shallow coves?
    Just wondering

Tom water temps running about 53 to 57 degrees, up to 58 on warm days.

Fish jigs about 18 inches in real shallow coves less than 2-3 feet deep. Big deep cove fish 5-8 feet deep during middle of day. In big cove at daylight and just before dark fish about 3-4 feet. Keep moving until you get bit. Also if your not getting bit with casting a jig and bobber. Use your sonar to locate fish on manmade sunken brush piles in big cove and try verticle jigging them. This place is loaded with shad so check them with sonar for depth and fish right at or just below what depth your seeing the shad. Fish have been turning on in big cove right at daylight and just before dark. But my Biggest have been coming out of the shallow coves in the middle of the day but less numbers. Good Luck CrappiePro

Man! Nice warm water and good lookin' fish too, I might add.

Ouachita is still 49-50.5 degrees, so it will be a while before they will go shallow.

Pretty photos too. I'm fired up and going back tomorrow.
