Here is a mess of two pounders caught on 1-30-09. Also fished gold creek on 2-2-09 and caught 16 more slabs. Here is the exact spot to fish for these fish. Launch at Danos on Gold Creek follow boat trail west up creek as soon as you go under the 365 bridge you will notice a small cove to your right running along the road. Troll in and stay as close to road grassline as possible. When you are about halfway into the cove anchor down the boat. If you troll down the cove in the middle youll spook the fish. Now saturate the area with a 1/32 oz jig white and chart tube and bobber set at about 2 ft deep and hang on because i aint catching many small ones here. Work jig with very very slow retieve or just let the wind move the bobber. This spot can only support about two or three boats so please be courtious if someones already in there.
