Slow morning at L Monticello

Was on the water by 7:00 with calm winds and 46 degree air temp. They started off fair but shut down around 09:45 and I didn't get another bite until I went home at 11:00 after getting tired of fighting the wind. Caught 10 in all with the biggest going 2 lbs and 1 oz. I didn't see a tenth the fish this morning on the graph as I did yesterday morning...must be the change in temperature. Spent this afternoon cleaning fish and playing with grandkids.

Steve, I stayed in this morning and got to lake monticello about 11:30 am. There were a few boats there but I didn't see anyone catching crappie. I caught 1 yellow bass and that was it, I just stayed about an hour and the wind got too rough, so I left. I will be going to Larto gathering next weekend, hope the weather is good by then. Thanks for the report.

I had to work but this morning early the sky looked like it was a good fishing day,around 10am the sky done turned into what looked like a blue bird sky day.Here early this morning the wind was gentle and the sky looked milking hazely.As the day grew longer the wind increased gusting 25mph and the sky was so high there was no end to it.
I had high hopes for the guys going fishing early but by days end I sorta figured some would have to work at it.
