    Default Jone's Lake (Felsenthal) report

Heard from my buddy that went to Jone's Lake today. He fished from 10:00 this morning to 4:30 this afternoon and caught 25 crappie, 2 bass and 2 grennal. He said all the crappie were small....with the largest being smaller than the smallest we caught at LM last Saturday (which would put it at about 8 inches). Caught them on Blk/Char jigs after trying a bunch of different colors.
    From the ARK-LA-MISS Delta....... Crappie Paradise ! ! ! !

Thanks for ther report. I like fishing Jones Lake myself. It sounds crazy, but a friend of mine can look at the color of the water in that lake and tell if the fish are biting or not.

when the water gets up to about the top of the ramp is when jones lake is usually at its best. for the last 4 or 5 years jones lake has been one of the very few areas of felsenthal that wasnt completely choked off by the moss. the good news is that last high water we had at the end of the summer wiped out most of the moss!!! i've been to parts of felsenthal since then that have been completely unaccessable for many many years. anyways, thanks for the report. maybe with the moss gone it'll be as good as it use to be in a few years...
