Went out to Gold Creek and fished in the rain yesterday. Not too much boat traffic out. Caught fish until I ran out of bait at 11am. They were a little more suspended in the pool yesterday, 4-6' deep over 10-11' of water. Ended up cullin' out a limit of 10" fish, with a couple 13" being the biggest. Saw folks catchin' quite a few in the pads tightlining jigs as well. Blk/Chart and straight Chart seemed to be catchin' em. Didn't take the camera 'cuz of all the rain. Water temp 59
Went to Clear lake this morning. It was my first time there, and pretty foggy at that. I drifted the channel and saw plenty of baitfish, but the only things chasin' shad were the yellow bass. Caught the crappie holdin' very tight to cover in 11-12' of water, right on da bottom. Mainly fished the inside and outside bends back to the right of the launch. I definately liked what I saw, and will be back out there soon. There's definately some big crappie in there! Caught 11 and kept 10. All of 'em were good fish. The biggest was just over 2lb. Water temp 56. And now a few pics from today...
Took forever for the fog to lift...Stayed cloudy most of the mornin'
Crappie holdin' tight to the cover, some of it visible...
All of 'em from today...
And, a nice pair of Clear lake crappie...
