Well one quick tip is if you fish minnows alot for crappie, be sure you take rosey red minnows. They really seem to prefer them in this lake. Some call them pink minnows too.

With all the Oxbows along White River to fish why would you want to fish Conway?

Welcome aboard Supergooser. I moved to Arkansas 10 years ago and imidiately started fishing Conway. It can really be frustrating. My thoughts were "with all of those stumps, it has to be loaded." It is, but, you have to know which stump to fish by. I dearly love to fish where there are no stumps along with probably 200 to 300 other crappie fishermen. This time of the year, there is no better place than Gold Creek up in Wilahmena Cove. Put in at Dano's Gold Creek marina and he will line you out on where to fish and with what, how deep ETC. I would love to be there with you. But, I have let Life get in the way of my fishing the last couple of years. I hope to get my priorities back in order in a month or so and I will make up for lost time.
