    Default Gold Creek Report

Had the mornin' free to go fishin' this am. Decided to head back up to Gold Creek and see what was going on now. Got to Dan's a little before daylight and ended up at the front of the line. Got me plenty of rosies and headed towards the pool. Couldn't get any poles out the fish were hittin' so fast. Ended up catchin' fish after fish 'till about 9-ish. Even after it slowed down a little, they were still keepin' me busy. It really slowed down around 10-ish when the sun got up higher, but was still catchin' fish. Lots of 7-9" throwbacks, with better numbers of quality fish mixed in. Ended up cullin' out a limit and ran out of bait around noon. Water temp was 63 this morning. Caught crappie from 5' - 9' deep over a couple of the brushpiles in the pool. Two best spots were under the iron bridge and the brushpile in the pic below. Now on to a few pics from the morning...

    Lookin' at the iron bridge...

Pretty busy mornin'. Lots of folks fishin' and lots catchin' fish...

Two of the big 'uns from today...

    Cooler shot...

GPS track showing the brushpile I fished this morning...

Good looking fish Ceb. Can't wait to get back on the water myself. Been recuperating from surgery for deviated septum and they ended up taking my tonsils out. That was the worst part of the whole surgery. Throat is still killing me and it has been 10 days since the surgery. Have to work next week but then hopefully will be able to get on some fish the next week....

man, I miss lake conway. Sure glad to see quality fish still coming out of there. Congrats on the catch. Fish the bradford pear, it's a producer on the creek side.
