    Default Monticello Lake

I got off early today and headed out to the local lake. I fished from 5:00 till 7:00 when the wind got really nasty. Caught 13 blacks with 10 keepers which ran from 10.5" to 14.5". Most were on the smaller side. Using red minnows on a 1/16th char jig head with the weight 8 inches above the jig; white nibbles. I was fishing 12-14 ft deep in 35-40 fow.

Sounds like a good after work trip, wish I could do that well on L. Monticello. I guess I need to spend more time on it and learn it. Thanks for the report.

Hope to do that well Wednesday on Ouachita. Might have to try the reds.
