Water too high = fish too scattered = stringers too empty = nobody lyin' about the fish they didn't catch! lol
Ouachita is still high but dropping a little every day. If I don't catch a single fish I will at least have dropped four new cedar tops...and that's no lie!
Water temp should be gettin' them in the mood. Maybe brother Tom and I will get lucky. I'm goin' alone on Friday to be joined by lil' bro on Saturday.
It would be nice to find a few stagin' at the creek mouths about now.
This place will fire back up once the water begins to recede a little.

I stoped by the field and stream store in Mayflower today to pick a few more bandits up and they've raised the price to $4.79 each. :( I guess I'll start looking for another outlet.
Knock on wood, I have yet to lose one and have plenty in stock now and will not need to buy for a while.
Right now I'm concentrating on vertical jigging (my favorite technique) with the fish just now beginning to warm up on Ouachita. I hear that DeGray is heating up but have not had the time to go see for myself...maybe in a couple of weeks. :p

Sorry for the lack of posts over the past couple of months. It's been a busy beginning to the academic year, but hopefully will slow down next month. Have been working in the ER at UAMS for the past month, so will have plenty of good stories for Fall Crappie Camp. May be this next week I'll able to finally wet a hook for the first time since the beginning of July. Hope I haven't forgotten how to launch the boat...:D
Stick around...it's about to heat right up! The 65 degree water is almost here. :)
