Just Wondering If The Crappie Are Biting?
sorry don't know much about millwood but welcome to the forum 223 champ
Welcome, from Hot Springs! Have read nothing of Millwood recently. I suspect iwth the high water coming from the three rivers that it is like most other places right now--fish are scattered and not the best of conditions.

I dont no if the fish are biting or not. But if you go I"m going with ya! CHAMP
They were biteing good last time I went but its been awhile not sure if they are still with all the rain
I have a couple questions about Millwood. I've never been there but plan a trip in October. My map shows lots of timber. Is it mostly dead timber or live cypress trees? Are there large submerged stump fields? Are the boat lanes clear and well marked? Any help would be appreciated.
There is a mixture. There are cleared marked boat lanes and the river channel is marked.
Lots of Bois darcs on the east side of the lake.
We have a group from Texas going up on October 10th-12th.
Should be awesome fishing that time of year.

All of the above. At Jack's Isle, you'll find a bunch of cypress. All out in the lake you will find flooded dead timber. The closer you get to the dam the clearer it becomes.
In the Spring there is GREAT fishing on the well-defined creek channels AND below the dam. The Lake Manager told me the other day that two poachers were caught last Spring taking 150 crappie out from below the dam. Too bad for them there's just one way in and one way out.
No swimming! Lots of alligators.

Take it easy on the 3lb males Jerry, might be just a tad early but not for a couple pros like you and Paul. Why didn't you guys show for the single pole on Truman?
I know we talked about it but I can't remember why we didn't. Seems like we had a club tournament here? Has Truman ever gotten back to normal?
When you planning on going to Millwood?
