Lake DeGray

What kind of shape is Lake DeGray in? We are going there the first week of Mayand will be ataying at Shouse Ford and was wondering what we had to look foward to. Is anyone cathing any fish????

Saturday the only boat ramps open were Iron Mtn. and Ozan. But they are pulling it almost a foot a day, so it should be about right by the first of May. As far as the fishing goes, we haven't caught much to speak of since the floods. We was catching about 15-25 a trip before the rain.

I was wondering when everyone thought Degray would be ready to fish? With all the water in it right now, I imagine it is a mess.

As far as crappie go, I have no idea. But my fishing buddy and I are headed up there this afternoon to do a little wading and bass fishing. He and another buddy of ours went up Wednesday and both limited out, not a single fish under 4 pounds. They caught probably 60-70, but released most, wanting larger fish.
