Default Moving back to GODS country

    Hi everyone,
I just regestered for the site, but have been reading it for sometime. I'm relocating to the Warren area and would appreciate any information on good fishing waters in the area.

Welcome back to Gods country! Since you have been gone, i'm not sure if you have heard about Lake Monticello. It was built sometime around 93/94 time frame and has some really hot largemouth action. During the winter, you can pick up the crappie from bout 50' deep.

Welcome back, buddy! Well, since you have been gone (don't know how long that's been) but there's a nice fine lake in Monticello now that is known for bass but I'd bet dollars to donuts that there are some fine crappie there as well. Of course, you know about the Saline and even Millwood. All still goin' strong!

Welcome back...I know Idaho must be somethin', but there's no place like home! <><

1,520 acres. It is fished quite heavily for green carp, but wintertime is prime for crappie at 50' deep. There is a certain time during the winter (I don't recall, but I THINK it is in January) where you catch it, you keep it because they will get the bends and die anyway.

...must be spring-fed to have inhabitable water at 50 feet. If it was in my area, I'd fish it more often, but it's a long ways from Pearcy (Hot Springs).

Beautiful like though and the one time I fished it, it was an experience to behold.

What is the bends? Is this something to do with the depth thier at this time of year?

Welcome to the board Cheezy, I'm just 16 miles east in Monticello. Look forward to your posts and reports.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.
