Hey guys, just wanted to say hello and I look forward to meeting you all. I used to crappie fish alot with my dad back in the late 80's and early 90's in Mississippie ie. enid, arkabutla, sardis, grenada. My folks don't live here in Little Rock. I am getting the itch to find those crappie again and do this without my father regretably since he is 3 hours away. I hope to one day have enough knowledge fishing central ark area where I can put my son on those slabs, when I have one.
Anyway, what I am getting at is, would anyone know several different places where I could go fishing within a 50 mile radius? Thanks guys, I appreciate the thread! Go Hogs!

Howdy and welcome.
Lake Conway will be the hot ticket in a couple of months. Virtually everyone fishes Gold Creek and in the pool. You can do pretty good from the bank on Hiwy 89 bridge out of mayflower. I don't fish Overcup too much. But, the reports are fair year round. Little Rock has decent fishing within two hours in any direction.

Welcome aboard. Dr P is right, Lake Conway will be hot here before too long. Tar camp at Redfield is a pretty good spot (if you have a boat that is.) Find the link on the Fall Crappie camp and you will meet quite a few of us there. It is a little further that 50 miles from LR, but will be well worth the drive.
Welcome, from Arkansas. This is a nice bunch o' fishermen here. Hope to hear a story or two from you sometime.
