8 August Ouachita

Went to Ouachita 8 August, am; it was just dead--at least where I was. I connected on one crappie and seven lm, one rock bass and two bluegill trolling bandits and the smallest of road runners over the channels outta Denby/Twin Creeks. Can't get the baits deep enough I reckon.

Brother Tom and I are gonna place some tops tomorrow in the early am since I can't seem to corner the specks. I'm also going to take my camera and take photos of exposed cover to jog my ole' memory in the Fall and Spring when everything's at full-pool. The lake is at 573...five feet low, which is about par for the course this time of year.
