Anyone done any crappie fishing over there?

I have not been there in several years, but I used to catch quite a few during the winter. There are a bunch of deep brush piles by the levee in the far west south west corner. During the winter the crappie used to stack up there. I would catch quite a few, but not any bigger than 10".

Well, they all might be 14 inches now.

I have caught a few, there in the summer but I can't remember the pattern. They were a tad small...like the bass. But it is a nice little lake and if I lived close to it, I would make it a point to get to know it better.

With all the brush and stick-ups, it should be a killer crappie impoundment. Let us know how you do if you decide to take the plunge anytime soon. I'd bet it's pretty slow right now, like everywhere else! <><
