Sounds like a good day of fishing, I was wondering what it might be like with all the water. May hit it Tuesday.

Decided to go check the lake out after all the rain last week. The level was up about 5.5'. Water in the parking lot at Hill Creek. Decided to try the crappie for a while. Went up Middle Fork to where I caught them the last to weekends but the water was pretty muddy up there to I came back down to some clearer water. Picked up 12 and lost 3 more keeper right at the boat. So all in all not a bad 3 hours. Sure beats sitting at home like I am doing today.
Here is a picture of the 2 best ones.

Too bad Ouachita did not cooperate. I put out a few tops and since the lake is 6-7 feet high I didn't hold out much for the fishin'. It's a good thing. Didn't land a one. Fished from 5' to 32' on 14 different brush piles.
Fall will be here soon.
