Well I got out early this morning and finally found some spring crappie.
Caught 15 crappie and a 4 pound bass on hamilton.
Looks like they are just starting to spawn.
Talked with a owner on the lake and he seems to agree that the crappie there are about a month behind. After all this rain, I'm glad to see things are starting to return to normal on the lake.....

Where and what presentation method? I don't guide on Hamilton any more, so I rarely fish it and when I do it's only for fun. Neighbors keep asking me like I should know, lol.

I was one the lower end of the lake using minnows.
I looked for docks with structure in 14-18 feet of water.
Put the minnow down 8 feet deep and they were hammering it.
No doubt when thew hit the bait.
Had to move a lot but there wasn't much activity on the lake.
    Hope this helps..

I was down there last week at Hamilton fishing with my Mom and Dad and we were fishing laydowns in 9ft to 12ft of water fishing them 5 to 6 foot deep dipping minnows under a slip cork and did pretty good. Some of the crappie we caught were 12 to 14 inches long. Darryl Morris put us on the pattern and the rest was all fun from there.
