Hello all,
I am a new member who lives in Charleston. I am familiar with the area lakes in regards to bass fishing but I'm trying to get some info on crappie. I am curious about Charleston City Lake, Darby Lake and Ozark City Lake. Anyone that knows if these lakes have a good population of crappie please let me know. Thank You

I have had some luck at Darby and Ozark City Lake in the past. Now Charleston City Lake.....well I have fished it for the last 17 years and Only caught quality crappie once. Can usually catch plenty 4-5 inch crappie but one day several years ago I found 26 2lb+ crappie in there. Never caught any since then! Darby has some nice crappie but hard to find it open during the spawn. Welcome to the forum!![]()
Was that a bite? Forgot what they feel like!

Have a video store in Charleston, but never have fished any of those lakes... Shoal Bay is a great place, Blue Mountain, JAck Nolen...
