    Default Arkansas river backwater crappie

Caught some crappie today fishing the backwaters of the Ark. river at Pendleton. The wind was rough, but ended up with 11 keepers and probably threw back twice that. All were black crappie and some still had eggs.

One of the alligators near our fishing spot.

    Today's catch.

Scale 4 and fried them whole, really were good.

Going to try them again tommorow.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

I think they look better laid out there on that pan with taters & onions than they did on that board with the Bud Light Ruler! hehe

Jerry, I glad to see you catch some. I think I will try my luck tomorrow after church.
