Bull Shoals is at capacity. Saturday they again opened all 17 spillways and turned on all 8 generators. The masive dump caused the White River at Cotter and other places downstream to overflow its usual banks. Some business that were built along the shore in recent years are now sandbagged and water is lapping at the foundations. Its bad here boys. All COE parks in Arkansas that are on Bull are closed. All the ramps are closed, and I think the only place you can put a boat in the water safely is on Lake Norfork at Mountian Home. So if you're coming to this area to fish, better be prepared for verrrrrrry high water. I was on the lake in 1982, the last time it filled up, and it was nowhere near as high as it is today. The COE says it may be September before it returns to normal. Tight lines.
If you're too busy to go fishing, you're too busy!
