    Default Rain, Rain Go away........

Come again some August day. Boy, I sure am tired of all this rain. My boat has never been this wet on top and some dry on bottom this time of year.

Now with all the water everwhere makes fishin hard as well.

It's sure putting a damper on things around here. Barely got started this morning and had to head back to the dock to get out of a thundershower. After a 3-hour rain delay we hit the water again - sun came out - caught some fish and then here comes another thunderhead with lots of lightening and heavy downpours so we hung out at the marina for about an hour until that one passed. We finally got out for a few hours and caught a few fish but they are still hanging out from the spawning areas waiting for the water to warm up a few more degrees and the weather and lake level to stabilize.

Hot and cold. Wet and wet...

The water levels return to normal pool and then we get 12 inches of rain. Messes with the water temps some too.

It wreaks havoc on fishing...cause I sure as heck don't wanna go out in the toad-stranglin rain.

Here it is ,Nimrod Lake is going over the dam spillways almost a foot. It's 10 pm and rainning like pour'n well you know out of a boot! I was planning on fishing below the dam tomarrow. That probably will be messed up for sure. When do we start building an ark ?
