looking for good oxbow for big crappie

anyone know a good oxbow close to forrest city.im looking for big crappie.im not from around arkansas.i live in indiana and i fished arkansas for 4years.i catch some big crappies.but i was wondering if theres any place that you catch lots of big crappies.or if you could give me some information on how to catch big crappie.im coming down to forrest city april 12.need help.I ve read that some of the oxbow are very good for big crappie,but dont know any .

All the rivers are up, so all of the oxbows are flooded. Around Forest City there are several when the rivers are down though. Burnt Cane, Midway, Whitehall, Horseshoe, Tunica. These are all good, and can be great. Probably your best bet is to go to Bear Creek Lake south of Marianna, there is no chance of the river getting into it. But it is not an oxbow.
