White vs Hybrid

What is the best way to tell a white bass from a hybrid? I always thought a hybrid looked like two fish that have been cut in half and put back together where the lines did not match up.

Hybrids have broken lines and tend to run larger than whites alot of the time.

That is how I tell, but when in doubt, I go with it being a hybrid, thus avoiding Johnny Law, giving me a trophy.

The only thing about it is the limit on whites is 25, the limit on hybyrids is 6. The man could give you a nice trophy.

Nimrod all the ones we are catching are about the same size 2 to 3 lbs.

if there is 1 line that goes all the way to the tail ints a white bass, multiple lines its a hybrid also hubrids have 2 tooth pathes on its tongue white bass 1, also hybrids stripes tend to be a little darker and more broken then a whites , whereas a white bass stripes kinda look like they were drawn on with a fine pencil

YES< that is why I call it a hybrid and go with the hybrid limit, thus avoiding a ticket, and probably a smaller mess of fish.
