LAke Conway ?

Anyone been out to LAke COnway after the rains.
IS it up and hows the water color?

hey Bigfishin,conway did come up about 2',but has receded at least 8''.some fish being caught back at 9-10' deep.today one man caught 7 under the iron bridge.caught 2 shallower.fred caught 3 on the bank yesterday,decent fish 2-3ft deep.another caught 2 on the flats today.another caught 4 in the pool.rather slow but at least some biting.the water was pretty muddy but is recovering fast.i can see 6-8'' deep.water temp today hit 60 degrees.lake will continue to fall 4-6'' in 24hr period.well see what tomorrow brings.

I assume you can get under the bridges alright?
Water not that high is it.
We should be down this weekend to give them a try....

Buddy of mine said all of his fishing holes were about 8 feet under water, but that all the gates were open letting water out...

Give it a few more days and we should be good.

He had been catching fish good last weekend before the rains hit.

I'm bout ready to head out there with him again.

7 gates open,continues to fall,fall slowed a bit considering the river is backed up to almost level with high water of the lake.fishing very very slow.today only saw 1 boat had 7 fish.3 in another and another with 3.oh J..... yesterday evening caught 13 before and after dark.tightline 3'and less even in the grass.all males and real black.he's a magician.

I think he was exagerrating some. As I checked with others and he said it wasn't that bad. This buddy of mine is known to have the gift of gab and a slight gift for fabrication.

Good thing is, you never know what he's going to say or do...keeps ya on your toes.
