    Default Greer's Ferry yesterday (wed.)

Hi all. I went to Greer's Ferry yesterday with the idea of trying to catch some Walleye. Had no luck on Walleye so did a little crappie fishing. Picked up 3 on a roadrunner fishing some flats in 8' to 12' of water. On the way out I spotted a school on my graph in 35' of water right next to a bluff. Caught 10 crappie plus 2 white bass before I had to leave at 30' deep on minnows all in one spot off the bluff! No slabs they were all 8" to 9" in size. I usually don't keep them at that size but everyone of them got the bends from coming up from so deep and I couldn't revive them. Water temp was 42 deg. when I started and was 50 deg. when I left.

Hey LM, I went up the river arm between choctaw and fairfield marina. The bluff I was fishing is on the right going in. You can't miss it because it's the one where a big tall piece of the bluff has pulled away from the rest of the bluff. Most of the crappie fisherman I saw were fishing the back of the arm on the flats around the brush in the middle, but were catching more white bass than crappie.

THAT STINKS!!!! Oh well, I don't like to chase green carp no way! I will still be out there. Might sink a condo or 3 out of fairfield for the late summer crappies.

went out Sunday, after setting 2 condos, actually 1 1/4, but thats another story in itself. Got a couple of hits on minnows near the buckbrush islands, but figure they were whites. Saw plenty of folks trolling for walleyes, not many catches though. Long story short, my boat brought in nothing on Suday afternoon on Greer's.

That's too bad...I was hoping for a good report...Do you think it's still to early or are they just not biting? I was thinking of trying it again this week if I don't get rained out.

Supposed to rain tonight, already issuing FF watches (up to 3" rain). I think the fish were just not biting. I think clear water fish shut down when turns water murky.
