Looks like rain on the way and will be raining before I can get there. I think I will pass today. If it was just me wanting to go, rain wouldn't stop me, but I don't think my wife and kids would appreciate getting wet...
I think Dan's official count was three of us.
Millwood Lipripper,
Dan said you were in the pool about the same time I was. I am sorry I didn't get to introduce my self.
Flyfinger,
You should get some kind of reward!! After pulling your boat all of the way in that Krappy (not crappie) weather then breaking your trolling motor. I really felt for you.
I caught just enough red ears to make the trip a semi success. Ole Dan had to talk me into getting out there when I arrived. I just about turned it around. The fish I caught were small males. The sows have not made it shallow yet; or at least they were not bothered by me being there. I plan on doing it again Thursday afternoon;...depnding on what the weather does.

I took my tm to the tm mech. this morning. Hopefully, it won't cost too much. I think I just bent the plate that lets the motor lay flat on the boat, it also makes it stand up straight in the water. The guy I left it with is a real professional. When I went into his shop, it was neat as a pin. No junk laying around, tools all in place on the wall. Even though he was working on a tm he did not have the usual pile of junk on the work bench. I like to do business with a guy like that. BTW he is a Korean Vet. (Army). It was good to see you Dr. Hopefully we can do it again when the weather clears. I'm headed to Florida in May for a month of flats and mangrove fishing.
DP, I saw you out there on my back into Gold Creek. Dan showed me your rig but I wanted to get back into the the area past the old steel bridge. Had heard there were a few biting earlier in there. I must have got there too late. Only saw three caught. My daughter caught one of them (about 11") and that was it. She got cold around 2:00 and we came out. I wasn't trying to be unsociable but she was shaking and lips turning blue. Figured it time to get her back to a warm truck. We will have to hook up at the Greeson day if I get the chance to go.
