Degray Lake.....

Has anyone been out on Degray lately to see what the crappie are doing? I havent had a chance to go this year yet and was thinking of going on my next day off which will be Sunday. Thanks!!

Went 3 weeks ago. Caught 1 crappie and a couple nice bass. Haven't been since the lake came up...it ought to be time for em.

Had a buddy over there last night yo-yoing. Caught 3 nice crappie and some nice green carp. Caught them up pretty shallow. It's not long now

I have been out on Degray a couple times this year. The fish have started moving up. They seemed to be on the edges of the grass lines in 15 to 25 feet of water. The heavy rain will definitely halt their progress for awhile. The mouths of Cox and Brushy Creek tend to hold good numbers in prespawn. Alot of brushpiles in both of those areas. It won't be long now!!!

I dont think the snow helped matters today much. I ended up going to the river this past weekend and caught a few spotted bass, which was a blast!!:D
