What Conway looks like now?

I have a question for the Conway lake guys and gals. I lived in Little
Rock back in the early 80's, does it still have a lot of timber standing? And does the lake still have a hp limit on outboards? My father fished that lake in the early 80's with a lot of luck. He passed away back in May of 2007, and I kinda wanted to take my boys to fish it and show them the lake. I haven't even been by it in over 20yrs. Conway can still be intimidating. First timers will get confused trying to find out which stump to fish by. After ten years I think I know it well enough that I can motor from one end to the other and not loose a prop. Most of my fishing recently has been in or near Gold Creek. Sometimes I might motor over to Palarm Creek to check on things if Gold is slow. I have only lived in Arkansas for 10 years. I have heard that it was a mecca for bream and crappie. The crappie fishing ain't too bad; bream fishing has been spotty at best except for March. I can usally find big red ears around then. Most of the post going on now concern Whilamena cove. It is more commonly called "The Pool or Cove". Give Danogold a shout for the most recent reports.
