    Default gold creek report2/15/08

this week since the rain, lake up 1 ft,it had been very slow goings with about 5 boats during midweek, hardly any fish!yesterday afternoon that changed with 3 boats out.one regular put in 2:30 pm out at dark with 15,2 biguns 1 at 2 1/4 lbs,1 at 2 3/4 lbs,a hoss.both females bulging with eggs.another regular had 10 nice crappie.the other guy had his first short visit this year and had no luck.the 2 guys that did good fished both shallow and deep producing both ways-hitting shiners and jigs tipped with shiners.tightline or under a bobber.they are still just jiggleing the bobber!easy to miss the hit!

Thanks for the report, Dano. Will be out there tomorrow in the wind and rain looking for one of those 2.5lbers...That's as long as somebody (not sayin' any names) leaves me a few for tomorrow...

i picked 3 under the bridge just eaters that was in 1hr.orange and chart, tipped with small shiner.so the only guys that done any good were 3 regular guys.1 had 10 this morning,2cnd guy and his boy had 19 big part of the day. 3rd had 14 this afternoon,2 guys there did best drowning shiner 6 inches off the bottom trolling.the 19 the guy working jig tipped with nibblets under a bobber 1-3'.pretty tough for 3-4 of us though.

Went to the pool yesterday. Started around 8ish and left around 1:30. Caught 13 good eaters and probably 8 throwbacks. Caught 'em on rosies from 1-5' deep suspended over the deeper water. Dan weighed 'em for me and ended up with a pair of 1.5 and one 1.12. Rained a little harder than I would like, but the pool wasn't too crowded... Got a few pics and will post 'em later.

Hey Dano, any reports from today? Anybody out there wind sailing?

Will be headed back out there in the morning with Goocher. He made up a few condos to drop, and he's gotta fine tune his new boat configuration. Yep, he's left y'all out of the loop about his new set-up. It's real nice...but now I gotta teach him how to catch some crappie...:D
