Default Bamboo mats in Corp lakes

This may be a dumb question, but..... can you put those bamboo mats or buckets in any corp lake. I am specifically wondering about Norfork, but I assume all of the Corp lakes in Ark and MO will be the same.

I am new to crappie fishing on Norfork and will be starting from scratch. It seems like a good idea to just place my own structure so I have some that I know where they are and then I don't have to depend on trying to find structure that I don't know anything about. I know that I will find some and I know there are already brushpiles that the corp places in the lake.

Anyway, is that something you can do and put out as many as you want..... is it a no no.... or is it something you have to get permission to do.

    Thanks for the help.

I cannot tell you that the AGFC or COE officials at Lake Norfolk say it's okay. I know they had a huge habitat program for the lake 10 or so years ago and as a result the crappie population grew. If it were me, I'd sink as much bamboo (without asking) and be responsible about it. Enjoy being a good habitat conservationists.
