    Default Lake Norfork

Hi, I am new to this board. I live in southern Missouri, but I am close to Norfork Lake. I am getting a boat in the next month or so and I am interested in finding some information on crappie fishing on Norfor. Does anyone know much about Norfork or better yet, do any of you crappie fish on Norfork Lake.

Thanks for any help you can give.

Well, Hunter@heart, we had a string on Lake Norfork about a month ago. I can't get the search to work on this site today.

Can someone else find that thread we had going.

Welcome from Batesville, AR. I fish Norfork some but I don't claim to be an expert on it but the only way I have caught any there is to find brush piles that the Corp have sunk. Some are marked but some the local have taken down the signs. Mark the tops and back away and cast jigs and slow retrieve back or cast minnows under slip float. Water is very clear so they will be deep 15+ deep. Also Hot Spot Maps have the Corp brush piles marked with coordinates. Hope this helps.

I live in IL so I am not an expert either. But I have been fishing Norfork a couple times a year for the last 14 years. Have had some excellent trips and some very SLOW trips over the years, but I love the lake. You just have to find the brush piles and back off of them like "creekslick" said.

    Another tip... Watch the Locals!
