    Default brushpile crappie

I went out yesterday, real nice day. started off with water temps around 48.5 degrees. I went to the windy north side, there was a definate difference in temps, (.75 degrees). The morning went real slow. I caught 1 nice slab, and about 5-6 dinks. came in, had lunch & decided to go over to the brushpiles that I'd put out in the summer. Just to recap, here is a photo of the sinking:

I got up to the far condo & BAM! caught my 1st fish off these condos! I wound up pulling off 3 off the 1st condo. I went to the next one & pulled 2 more fish off them. It wound up being a decent day, caught 15 or so, & kept 9 fish, with a couple good slabs. biggest fish weighed 1lb 12oz. Catching fish off those condos just made my day. We had baked crappie for dinner (new years resolution to cut down on fried food ) . Anyway, here is a pic of the biggest crappie of the day. Thanks again darryl & jerry for the condo schematics. I haven't had a chance to put out any concrete mats, but you can bet that I will.

Way to go Randy!!! You gotta love the boo! It's sure is gratifying to pull up to a "virgin" Bamboo Crappie Condo and catch that first crappie.

Nice catch Randy, those condos are paying off. I need to put out some more.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

That levy looks familiar, and the pics took at the boat ramp. Is that Cox Creek?

Good Catch I also enjoy picking up few fish on my summer tops in the winter time when things get slow helps justify all the hard work.
