Default water rising, but fishing is slow....

been trying to find the crappie the past couple of days. weather has been windy & cloudy, & I can't seem to find them. with the rain we got the other day, the water has been rising here, (12-18 inches). water has been running through the levy & that usually stacks up the crappie, but I haven't been able to find any with size to them. caught all of the fish on green/chart jig from skip, and they haven't wanted any minnows. rain ran me off the lake today (& wind too) & I managed to catch 3-4 dink crappie off of a log. will keep trying to see if the crappie ever stack up on the runoff, but so far it's been slow. I am very happy that the water has come up. it makes the lake so much more beautiful, and it makes getting around the brush easier. merry christmas everyone, hope everyone has a chance to wet a line sometime during the holidays.

You can't complain too much when a fishing trip only involves walkin' out the back door and hoping in the boat... Thanks for the report and let us know when you do find 'em.

How's your Crappie fishing neighbor ''Jim Shirely''? This warm spell on it's way might encourage more fishermen to get out.:D

Randy just needs all of us to come camp out in his yard and fish his lake. We can help you find them ol' buddy. It is a service that we will all provide I am sure.
