We have cut over 6,000 stalks of bamboo this year. We only use the bushy 12-20' top. That leaves the butt ends. Some of these ends are as long as 30 or more feet. Anyone who wants to come and get a trailer load of them is more than welcome to do so. Just call me and let me know when you're coming and I'll get you to the bamboo patch. You can cut them into shorter pieces for shallow stake beds or leave them long for beds in deeper water. Plus, it's bamboo and it will last a long time.
Here's some pictures of just how much is available, free for the taking. Everyone have a great holiday!!!

Now thats a BIB BOO PATCH.
Let's go fishing.
darryl,
are there any leaves on the butt ends?
Dang what a patch! What do you guys cut it down with? No way you use a machete.
No, there are no leaves on the poles.
We use an industrial weedeater with a circular saw blade on it.

Darryl from the looks of things "WE" means Jerry uses a industrial weedeater. Oh well its probably for the best, he needs some supervision when using power tools.
Have you guys thought about using those long ends to try and make some type of punji sticks for water lice. I wouldnt think it would take more than a couple of mishaps and you would have the lake to yourself this summer. Just a thought.
