    Default Bobby Petrino??

Wow, what do you guys think about this one? U of A head coach Bobby Petrino... Has a nice ring to it in my opinion. I was a Houston supporter, but finally saw the light this year. (If he couldn't win with the talent we had this year, then it will NEVER happen for Nutt.) Looks like Coach put on a pretty good show at Louisville (41-9). If he can do that here, we will be in pretty good shape fellers!

I wonder how long he will stay? He will win more games than Nutt did, but he still has a pair of Dicks @ QB. He will have to do some major recuiting in the next few weeks. I don't think he can handle the pressure @ Arkansas. Louisville and Atlanta are not big time football. The falcons are in the top three worst pro football teams EVER! Saints, Cardinals, Falcons. And Louisville is a basketball school at best. The SEC and the history of Razorback football might be more than he can handle. I hope he does good for the Razorback nation, it will make the SEC better, and now that I live here I would like to go to some games. I always pull for the Hogs, as long as they aren't playing LSU.

I am excited! I believe we needed an offensive minded coach. He may do quite well here over the next couple of years, but unfortunatly I will be willing to bet when a bigger school comes knockin he will leave here as well!

I think you're right, but the Arkansas job is a good one. He should stick it out for as long as he can.

Petrino took a school with a small recruiting base and no football tradition and turned it into a top 10 program. He actually overshadowed Rick Pitino (if that's conceivable) in a basketball-crazy state.

    Petrino's ego can handle anything.

A top ten program out of the Big East, with no VaTech, Boston College, Miami.

I'll grant you the Big East is no match for the SEC, but that doesn't detract from his record. What Petrino did at Louisville was amazing.

I never said he wasn't a good coach. I think he will make the Hogs a better team, but can he handle the pressure. He has not had to deal with any yet. And he has rightfully gotten a pass in Atlanta for the Vick deal. He will not have ANY easy conference games in the SEC. Arkansas fans expect alot out of their program, winning a SEC west crown means beating Alabama, Auburn, and LSU. Rutgers, UConn and West Virginia would be a cake walk.

The same arguments were applied to Urban Meyer a couple of years ago. Only time will tell if Petrino can be as successful.
