    Are there any good crappie lakes close to Ft Smith. I'm thinking maybe within 30 min drive or so. I don't know much about that part of Ar but I might be spending some time there.

    I am somewhat down stream but there are good numbers in waters associated with the Arkansas River (and the river itself) here and I would expect them to be there. Jim.

    Depending on when you come..we have a couple of lakes south of FS, down by Greenwood...They have some nice crappie, IT's just finding them..

    Not sure the distance ,but Blue Mountain is a good Crappie Lake.
