Sounds like a pretty good drawdown. I guess fishing should be good once it stabilizes. Know why they are drawin' it down? Or are they just going to winter pool?

I talked to my buddy at work that has a camper on Millwood. Said they started drawing it down yesterday and will dropping it 3 feet. Apparently, the report is that it will only take 3 days for this to happen, but he pulled his BS card and said he figures it will take over a week. Just an FYI...

Years ago back in the late 1980's when I fished Bass Tournaments it was drawn down in September. The fishing was good , bit man that lake is stumpy.

Corps of Engineers pulling the lake down so if a hard freeze come it will kill some of the vegataion. There is a couple web sight to go to and check. One sight is Millwood lake guide service (mlgs.com) or Arkansas Game and Fish (agfc.com) they give weekly reports,or call 1-888-697-9830 you will get daily update on lake level and any changes.
You beat me to it weekends. According to my friend at work, back in the late 80's was the last time it had a draw down as well. Said the duck hunting was off the charts!
