Good looking catch. I use a pair of wool fingerless gloves that have a mitt that you can fold over and cover your fingers. Sorry don't have a picture.

Hi Jack: I also use a pair of wool gloves like Creekslick. Got them at WalMart a couple of years ago and wouldn't fish cold weather without them.

    Nice fish!
Went out today and kept a dozen as well for supper! The smallest was 11" and the biggest nearly 15". No picture, forgot camera! I just went out on last notice today. I had no scheduled trip and I thought what the heck!

Good lookin' mess of crappie, and good quality fish, too. Those cold nasty winter days are some of the best days of the year for crappie, but they are extremely tough on your hands. If you use minnows, it can be even tougher on your grippers.

I have a pair of tight-fitting gortex gloves (Wet Seal), but even though they are tight fitting, I still have trouble hooking bait. What I've found works for me is to only glove one hand. Keep a dry towel handy to wipe your hand dry after baiting and stick it in a pocket with a hand warmer while using your gloved hand for other things that don't require as much sensitivity. Works for me...

Nice Mess-o-crappie. I myself had rather fish with it is 25 degrees vs. 105 personally. (You can only take off so many clothes before people start laughing at you.)
