Went on our annual Fall camping trip to Lake Ouachita this past weekend. Got there Saturday morning and started fishing about 8:30. Caught 18 keepers by 11:00. Went out that afternoon and caught 10 more. The bite was really good Saturday morning but my partner had a hard time getting one to the boat but she finally got the hang of it and caught some nice ones. The only pictures I got were of her and two of the ones she caught. Really had a good time but I don't know how much longer a teenage girl will go fishing with her Dad.

Sounds like yall had a good weekend, and those are some nice fish. Congrats on the catch, and even when she decides she don't want to go anymore, keep inviting her.
You can't fish with a hung line!
Nice pictures there Creekslick, it always makes for a good trip when the kids come along. Mine are teenageres and its hard sometimes to get them away from everything else going on in there lives. We will have to get together and go after the slabs around the Batesville area.
Nice pics. My father-in-law reported that they were biting last Friday (11/2), too. He found them in standing timber and caught them on minnows. I hope to get out there this w/e!
I think I got one...
