Default Slow day today, but still fun (Pics)

I took my grandson Hunter to Cane Creek today. We did pretty good early with five keepers by 9 oclock. They quit then and we would just get a dink every now and then. We quit about 12:30, didn't want to burn him out waiting for the afternoon bite. We had a great time and he caught a really nice crappie and really played it well. It weighed 1lb 11oz. His biggest crappie to date. He's ready to do it again, he wants to catch a 3 lber like my brother did yesterday.

    Hunter with his big crappie.

    Our catch for the day.

Hunter with a couple of gooduns.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

    A bad day of fishing
beats a good day at work.

That's how you do it Jerry. Get him interested and keep him there. He doesn't look at all upset about the catch....

Oh lord...if that ain't a lil' stumpjumper in the making...:D

Glad he got to catch a few. I'm sure that he will always remember it. I hope they turn back on by this weekend. The weather forecast is lookin' good at least.
