Default Camping and fishing at Cane Creek (lots of pics not dial up friendly)

Kathy and I went camping this weekend and a friend and his wife were camping there also. My friend and I would fish in the morning and we fished with our wives in the evening. The weather was great and the state park at C.C. is a really nice place to camp. The fishing has not really turned on for quantity of fish but the quality is nice. The fish we kept were mostly really nice, a lot were 13 to 14.5 inch fish. The water temp was between 79 and 84 degrees when we got there on Thursday, but was 76 to 78 by Sunday. If it will cool another 10 degees we should have some good fishing. I got to talk to Ceb and Lucky at the ramp Saturday morning, sort of like a homecoming from last fall. I really enjoyed the long weekend with family and friends. Hope everone had a great weekend.

Sorry the post is so long but it was a long weekend.

What a great post and pics. Thanks Jerry. I'm too ready to the water temp to drop about 10 more degrees.

That's what I'm ready for too. I was thinking that this weekend with the cooler nite temps that it might get down to the low 70's, but it didn't. Great set of pics jerry. I was glad to see chris taking a break from his rotations. I can't wait till those temps drop & those big ones move up. Makes a man want to move north in the summer. the only problem is my wife would kill me cause she has to be close to her momma.

Nice pics. I fished there Saturday and Sunday afternoon and didn't do much good. I'll try it again in a couple of weeks, should get better when the water temp starts cooling off.
